Tennant launches the industry’s first industrial robot scrubber designed for large spaces: T16AMR

Minneapolis–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Tennant Company (New York Securities), a world leader in designing, manufacturing and marketing solutions that reshape the world’s clean ways Exchange code: TNC) is launching its latest and largest automatic floor cleaning machine T16AMR Robotic Floor scrubber. This industrial-grade autonomous scrubber is ideal for large facilities. It has a wider scrubbing path and a higher water tank capacity to achieve consistent and efficient cleaning while reducing the total cost of ownership. This is the third AMR in Tennant’s product line and the industry’s first AMR based on the industrial scrubber platform. The device will begin shipping in the U.S. and Canada in April.
The T16AMR rider robot scrubber can operate in a complex real-world environment without direct operator control. This means that the T16AMR can be cleaned at any time-this is a particularly valuable feature, as staff shortages and increased cleaning protocols may cause the lean maintenance team to overextend. T16AMR is equipped with an upgraded version of high-capacity lithium-ion power supply, which includes a fast charger, which can make full use of a day’s scrubbing work. Compared with other power options, Li-ion also has zero maintenance and the lowest cost per charge. In addition to providing consistent and efficient floor cleaning, the T16AMR is also connected via an onboard telemetry system, which provides supervisor notifications and weekly reports on route completion.
“Tennant understands the additional pressure of our customers to ensure continuous cleaning with fewer resources. This is especially problematic for those with large facilities. This is why we launched the T16AMR, the largest autonomous machine to date. It will help customers improve cleaning efficiency and maximize the use of employee resources,” said David Strohsack, vice president of marketing at Tennant.
T16AMR also reduces the total cost of ownership through a powerful industrial-strength platform and design. Different floor surfaces can be thoroughly cleaned in one pass, and multiple routes can be run back-to-back without assistance. Its dual cylindrical brushes can easily clean and pick up small debris to prevent streaks and reduce the need for pre-cleaning.
In addition, T16AMR reduces or eliminates the use of chemicals through ecological H2O NanoClean® technology, which allows cleaning without detergents. On-board cameras, sensors, and alarms help maintain the safety of employees working around the machine. The uniqueness of Tennant AMR is that the long-range lidar can accommodate a larger open space; and the on-board diagnostics make maintenance and troubleshooting a breeze.
“We make the T16AMR easy to use and maintain. With intuitive controls, touch screens, and on-board learning center, the T16AMR is easy to train. After that, all the labor you need to clean the floor is enough to press the start button. Just show the machine where you want You want to clean the location, and then let the robot do the cleaning for you,” said Bill Ruhr, senior product manager at Tennant. “You can repeat the route or connect multiple routes according to the needs of the work cycle to maximize the cleaning effect of the AMR. T16AMR ensures that the cleaning work is completed-and done consistently-even if there is no one around to do it. Although the cleaning aspect There are still some things to consider, but there are far fewer things to worry about.”
With the introduction of the T7AMR scrubber, Tennant launched its first autonomous solution in 2018. In 2020, T380AMR will be followed closely. The machine allows to clean narrow aisles, make tighter turns and smaller U-turns-ideal for smaller spaces. With the launch of T16AMR, Tennant now provides superior market solutions for customers with larger footprints.
The T16AMR, T380AMR and the original T7AMR are all powered by BrainOS®, an advanced artificial intelligence and robotics platform from Tennant’s partner Brain Corp.
“We are very pleased to see Tennant bring its third BrainOS-powered AMR to the market. Dr. Eugene Izhikevich, CEO of Brain Corp, said: “By combining first-class software technology with proven world-class equipment, we Will work together to continue to push the boundaries of robot cleaning innovation. Cleaning robots are clearly becoming the new commercial standard. With the new T16AMR, Tennant now provides autonomous solutions that can adapt to a variety of spaces, from large industrial environments to smaller retail spaces. ”
T16AMR also includes unparalleled customer support provided by Tennant AMR’s customer success and service team, ensuring consistent site deployment and helping customers across the country.
